Playing with Vellum

 DATE:  Sunday, March 3rd

TIME:  12:30 - 2:30

COST:  $25

What to do with vellum!  I'll admit, I don't use it too often because of its properties - that is, that you can't use tape or glue without it showing.  Now who wants that?  Well we will work around that theory and use some creative ways of circumventing it.  One of my favorite ways of using vellum is with word dies with shadow.  It adds so much to a card.  We will NOT be using this method (too easy!) for this class.

Instead, we will use a combination of wet and dry embossing and some coloring.  I think you'll be happy with the results and will try this at home.  Here's what we'll be doing...

The above card is created by doing some straight embossing and a little bit of tearing.

The above card is created using ink blending, dry and wet embossing together...

And our last card will be created using wet embossing and Copic markers.

There are a few openings left in this class.  So don't wait -- email, text or call me to reserve your spot at this fun class.  Be sure and check the newsletter for supplies to bring to class.

See you soon!

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

 DATE:  Sunday, February 18th

TIME:  12:30 to 2:30

COST:  $25

Happy February and Valentines Day.  We did a really cute Book Jacket Valentines card that you ladies loved.   Now I KNOW this is not the Valentine card, but this IS the Book Jacket card.  You ladies did a super job on them.  It was a bit confusing since I had all of you bring whatever colors you liked -- it created a placement problem, but we got thru it!  You rock!

The cards we will be doing in this class are from an adorable Diamond Press set that I thought I'd share with you.  Make note of the last card shown -- two of our gals are named Watt (former and current).  They, of course, are in love with the card.

There's no technique involved here - just plain old place and glue with a little coloring involved.

And for the WATT's...

Now if I knew of stamp sets with all your last names, we'd be having a grand time!  But we don't and I won't.

As mentioned in the newsletter, you'll need your regular class kit and some markers.  Check out the photos above and choose your colors accordingly.

See you soon!
