PLAYING WITH STENCILS

 DATE:  Sunday, September 4th

TIME:  1 to 3 pm

COST:  $20

Stencils are fun!  Most of us have at least one stencil in our stash and after this class, that amount is likely to increase.  They are versatile and easy and fun to use.  We'll be creating three different cards using a different method for each card.  I know you'll love how easy these techniques are to do.

This first card is an either/or -- in terms of ink colors.  I've listed the inks used in the newsletter to make it easy for you.  However, you are more than welcome to choose any 3 colors you'd like. (Be sure an check the newsletter for the ink list).

And our second card uses a light touch for the background.

And lastly, a very fun offset technique that I know you'll enjoy.

There is currently one seat left for this class, so give me a shout out if you'd like to join us!

See you soon!

8 Cards in Minutes!

DATE:  Sunday, August 21st

TIME: 1 to 3 pm

COST:  $20

Morning has broken...!  Oh wait, that's "weather has broken..."!  I'll take advantage as long as it lasts.  While closeted with hot weather, I was feverishly at work concocting more fun classes for you.  Wait till you see the line-up!  I'm all the way thru to the end of October.  Hmm, it may be time to start planning Christmas cards by then.  Wait and see!

This next class is one of those ones where you wonder why no one ever thought of this technique before.  It's not my idea (wish it was), but when I tripped across it, I knew I had to introduce it to you ladies.

Our first set of cards are done in soft colors.  Inks used are Salvaged Patina, Saltwater taffy, Wilted Violet and Hickory Smoke.  If you don't have these colors, feel free to bring any combination you'd like.  We do share, so don't stress over it.

And our second set of cards are done using bold colors and funky stamps.

When you get home, take a different look at your stamps and see how you can apply them to this technique -- I'll bet you'll surprise yourself!

The newsletter has listed all the inks used in these projects as well as instructions on the type of ink applicators to use.  This class is full, but I'll be happy to take any requests for a private class.  You don't want to miss this one!

See you on the 21st!  In the meantime, happy crafting!

Working with Acetate

 DATE:  Sunday, August 7th

TIME:  1 to 3pm

COST:  $20

Hello all!  I'm really late with this post -- got set back with a really nasty cold that has deprived me of sleep 5 nights in a row.  But I will soldier on and see you on Sunday!  This class is full, but if you'd like to create these fun cards, feel free to contact me to set up a private class.

I had a lot of fun creating these cards - using scraps and going into my vast stash of card stock. Combining some pleasing colors and running them through your paper cutter in various sizes will net you some really fun looks.  I kept the style simple just to give you the concept of this fun technique.

Here are our cards:

Due to limited colors left in my stash, there will be several versions of the above cards when you receive your kits.  They don't diminish the style in any way, but instead create more interest as you see how different colors lend themselves to the same projects.

Our second card uses lots of fun leftover vinyl (the type used in the Cricket).  Boy these do carry an impact!

The colors shown the above photo are nowhere near the colors actually used.  It's very difficult to photograph holographic or mirror card.  But I think you'll like this project.

As mentioned in the newsletter, be sure to bring plenty of dimensionals (tape or dots).  All card will be precut and numbered for you to make the class flow smoothly.  You have nothing to do but assemble and go home and try these techniques using your own product.  You'll love it!

As mentioned, this class is full.  But if you would like to try this technique, please text, email or call me and we'll set up a private class for you!

I look forward to seeing you all on 8/7!
