Pop-Up Cards!

DATE:  SUNDAY, November 12th
TIME:  1 to 3 pm
COST:  $15

Who doesn't like an interactive card?  They are hard to resist but easy to make, so join me as we explore two fantastic pop up cards.

The first one we'll be creating is the Christmas Tree Pop-Up card.  It's a little time intensive, but it's easy and so worth the time!

Here's the Christmas Tree Pop-Up card closed...

And here's the card open!  WOW!  What a fun card!

Then we have an adorable snowman pop-up card...

Open up and here's another cute interactive card.

These cards aren't just for kids either!  Adults love them just as much and they think you've worked very hard to create them.  Shhhh!  We won't tell!

I have one seat left in this class, so just email me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve that last slot.  I can't accept any reservations after Wednesday, November 1st due to a heavy schedule.

See you Sunday, November 12th!

Donna

PLEASE NOTE:  bring your regular class kit with you and include a good tacky glue for these projects.  Glossy Accents (or similar) is perfectly acceptable.

Shaker Cards are here!

DATE:  Sunday, October 22
TIME:  1-3 pm
COST:  20

Yes, shaker cards are all the rage right now.  So let's join the bandwagon and create some of our own in this class!  We'll be using tulle and shaker windows to create 3 very fun cards as follows:

First up is a little birthday card using the traditional "plastic" window shaker method.  Bringing Crazy Birds into the mix makes for a fun card.  I will provide you with information as to where to purchase these "windows" for future shaker cards.

Next we'll try our hand at using tulle to create our window with this fun holiday tree card.

And last but not least, is another holiday card using the same method.  We'll demystify the shaker card method with these quick and seasonal cards.  Using inexpensive tulle is a great way to make  many wonderful cards for your holiday season!

For your convenience, I have added a PayPal Button below to lock in your seat for this fun class.  If you don't have a PayPal account, just email me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve your seat.

Looking forward to seeing you all !

It's Fall, y'all!

DATE:  Saturday, October 7th
TIME:  1pm to 3pm (or thereabouts)
COST:    $20

I don't know where the time went but here we are at Fall's front door.  House is decorated (something I had limitations with in my old house), mums are planted, the Fall candle is lit and I've created some fun cards for us to work on!

I love Fall and it always inspires some great card making and I hope you'll join me on October 7th at 1pm to learn some new, creative ways of stamping.

Yes, I said new, creative ways...  Very few stamps were used and these are all basically CAS (Clean And simple) cards.  Come play with me and I'll happily pass on a new technique or two.  We'll be making four cards using different ways of creating some rather quick cards (if you finish early, you are welcome to create more at no additional charge).

Here's what we'll be doing:

(yikes!  look at the wrinkles in that card stock!)  We're going to use the new Oxide inks on this one.

Nope, no stamps here other than the sentiment!

Again, no stamps here (AT ALL)!

Oooh, loving the background!

So please join me on Saturday, October 7th at 1pm.  Since PayPal has changed their website, I cannot provide you with a pay button at this time.  So please contact me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve your spot.    We have plenty of room in the new house so invite a friend to join you (let me know, of course).

Now that Kept Creations has closed its doors, this is the only available live classroom around so you may want to reach out to some of Kept's former clientele to let them know where we are!

See you soon!

I'm baaaack!!

DATE:  Saturday, July 29th
TIME:  1PM
COST:  $20

Well it's sure been a long haul and many months, but it was worth it.  The move has been completed.  While we are not completely settled (Translation:  can't find a darn thing!...now where did I put that?...I KNOW I packed it!), my craft studio is up and running.  Hooray!  I have so missed my toys.  (I'm still finding many of them -- wherever I put them at the time, I thought it was a good place.  Now where was that place?)

Enough of that my dear, dear students (friends).  I have missed you all terribly and am glad to be back in the saddle (uh, stamp room) again!  Since everything is new here, I thought I'd kick off our first session with a "new" product.  I'm sure you've all heard about the new Distress Oxide inks.  No?  Well you are going to hear and play with them for our very first class.

I have fallen hopelessly in love with these inks.  I love my regular Distress Inks, but these... oh my!  Anyway, I've created three projects for you using these new Distress Inks in three different ways (there are soooo many ways to use them!).  I don't want to overwhelm you, so I stayed pretty basic and simple for your first time using them.
Being summer and all, I know weekends can be tricky trying to hold a class, but I've set aside Saturday, July 29th at 1pm for this class.  Part of the reason for this is that I would rather have you travel here in daylight.  We are in the middle of nowhere and it can be daunting getting here.  I'm going to put a caveat in here for a moment.  I know many of you don't work during the week or are on hiatus from your jobs, so please feel free to email me if a weekday class would suit you better in the event that 7/29 doesn't work.

So without further ado, here are our rather simple looking cards using three methods of ink application.

You will need your regular class kit and if any of you have a heat gun, an extra few would be great.  I have three, but just in case...
PLEASE feel free to use the PayPal button below to sign up or email me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com.

Since none of  you know how to get here and this house is not in the GPS satellite yet, you will need to email me for directions at the above email addy.

You can't know how excited I am to see you all again!  We'll have a rocking good time and I'm sure Chef Charles will be anxious to make some sort of delicacy for "his girls".

See you soon!

Donna

Taking a Break...

Hi all.  Donna here to let you know I will be on hiatus for a bit.  We are moving soon and my craft studio is halfway packed (I think).  ðŸ‘…  Living like this is not fun, let me tell you and I can't wait for the final move.

So, stay tuned, my friends as I WILL BE BACK!  Once I move I have one event to do in Syracuse and will be back on track after my new craft studio is ready.  I am so happy to say we have a few new followers who are anxious to join our classes.  I'm sure many of these faces will be familiar to you from Scrapbook Cupboard days.  Can't wait to see you all again!

Until then, stay safe and keep on crafting!

Masculine Pop Up Box Cards

DATE:  Sunday, March 12
TIME:  1pm to 3pm
COST:  $15

Do you struggle with masculine cards?  Heck yes, we all do!  Well I have a couple of cards that will take care of that little problem.  I've created two pop up box cards for this fun class.  Pop up box cards are the latest rage and sooooo much fun to create!  You are only limited by your imagination.

Here's what this we'll be doing in this class:

This is a really fun birthday card for that office guy (or gal) in your life.  Change up the colors of your file cabinet and you have a totally different feel!

Next up is for that handyman (or not so handy!).  A truly masculine feel to this one.  I had sent one to my son and he called immediately to tell me how much he loved this card!

Good News/Bad News:    THIS CLASS IS FULL!  But, if there is more interest out there, I will be willing to hold another class on Wednesday, March 15th from 7pm to 9pm.  I plan on packing my craft room up for the move after this class, so don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to do this class but couldn't get in for the 12th.

Hit that PayPal button below or contact me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve a spot.

Spinner/Slider Cards

DATE:  Sunday, February 26th
TIME:  1pm to 3pm (or thereabouts)
COST:  $15

One of the most fun types of cards are interactive ones and slider or spinner cards will surely make you smile.  In this class we will create three very different sliders using feathers, Washi tape and you'll even learn how to create your own whirligig (a/k/a pinwheel)!

You'll be amazed at how easy they are to create. We'll be using dies for our cards, but you can use an Xacto knife at home if you don't have these dies.  I can order the dies for you if you decide you'd like to have them in your repertoire.

Here are the three fun cards we'll be creating:

This is our elegant flower spinner using Washi Tape.  So easy!

And here's our pinwheel spinner.  You will create your own pinwheel as well.
Again, so very very easy.

And lastly, our birds of a feather card (that's going to be one dizzy bird)!

My apologies for the exposure on these pictures -- I had to take them by evening light.  The girls who attended today's class saw them in person and signed up on the spot.  So join us, won't you, for another fun filled afternoon!

You can reserve your spot by clicking the PayPal button below or contact me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve your spot.  Only a few seats left!

Will it be a CAT-astrophe?

DATE:  Monday, February 20th
TIME:  1PM to 3PM
COST:  $15

NOTE:  In case of snow, this class will be held on SUNDAY, February 26th!

One of this month's projects is going to be such fun and so useful.  We will be creating a mug insert using Tim Holtz Crazy Cats with some fun sentiments.  You can change out this insert any time you want using any theme you want, but for our class, we will be using cats.  Here's one side of the mug:

And since we will be on a roll with these cats, we'll be creating a cute card for a birthday.

Please join me for what may possibly be the last class here in Weymouth.  I don't have a moving date yet, so the possibility remains that there could be one class after this.  I'll be looking forward to continuing my classes once I move and get settled in.  Stay tuned!

Click that PayPal button below to reserve your spot.  See you soon!

HAPPY 2017!

DATE:  Sunday, January 15th
TIME:  1PM to 3PM
COST:  $20

Happy New Year to all!  I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2017 and hope to see more of you at some classes.  Most of you know that I will be moving this Spring and I will still continue classes here in Weymouth hopefully thru the end of February.  All bets are off after that!  We will be buried in boxes and prepping this house for sale.

Once we have completed our move, I will resume classes in my new home or at the fabulous Club House that is available to me.  I'll keep you posted.

So, here's my first class for 2017.  I'll be taking you back to origami days and we'll be making the same fold for FIVE cards.  This class will showcase some of the different ways you can utilize this very pretty African Palm leaf just by changing its size or its orientation.  These cards work up so quickly that you will fall in love with them.  Talk about making a quick card!

The purple card below is actually a gift card!

Let's double up with this one!

It is understood that if the weather does not cooperate, we will postpone this class to the following Sunday, January 22nd.  I prefer my students in one piece!

So hit that PayPal button below and reserve your seat!  The only necessary tool needed would be your Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  Your normal class kit is always expected.

Remember, seating is limited -- this will change greatly at my new home!

I look forward to seeing you all!
