Color Burst Gift Card Set

Have you heard of Color Burst?  In a nutshell, Color Burst is  a highly concentrated, pigmented powder that you can spray on, spritz on, paint on, etc. I will show you a more elegant way to use this incredible product.

In this class you will  create some incredibly simple cards using the same stamping image, but changing the color combinations for each card using inks and Color Burst.  We will create 4 identical cards as well as an adorable pocket gift card carrier so that you can give this as a gift.  This gift carrier is just a sample of what it looks like -- you will be creating your own designer front for this project again using Color Burst -- wait till you see!

Here are the cards you will be creating and below is the pocket gift card carrier.

The look of the gift card carrier will change with patterned paper choices.  I will have different colors available for you to choose from to create this same effect.  This packet holds your four cards plus envelopes and is capable of holding up to 8 cards.

Double Flap stand-up cards

Love unusually shaped or folded cards?  We've been doing a series of sorts lately and since you ladies seem to really enjoy them, I thought I'd continue in that vein.

So here we have two versions of a Double Flap Stand-Up card; one is portrait style and the other landscape.  I've provided a side view for full appreciation.  I will provide you with written instructions for this class as well.  Both cards fold flat and are A2 size cards for easy mailing.

People love receiving funky shaped cards and they know how much effort you have put into creating these masterpieces.  Psst!  Don't tell them how EASY these cards are to create -- keep them in awe!

Step cards

Class Date:  Friday July 10th from 7-9pm
Price:  $18  (please note price of this class)

Step cards are so much fun to create and in this class you will receive full written instructions on how to make your own instead of going out and buying pre-made cards.  This way, you can make your card in whatever color palette you choose.

We will be creating three different step cards:  Center Step, Side Step and Reverse Center Step.  Here they are in that order.

This card has a large center panel on which to build your accessories.

This is the side step card.  You can place your steps to the right or to the left using the same formula.  (I don't think this little birdie is going to have a 'tweet birthday', but all those kitties are!

This is the reverse center step card with a cute and playful little whale.

This class is up there with the Stair Step card we did.  The ladies who attended that class are still talking about it and have created that card quite a few times since.  So don't miss out on the know-how and sign up for this fun and fabulous class!

Tri-fold cards

Hello crafters!  I have another special treat for you on this Friday evening class.  We will be creating a trifold card using a Penny Black Doll for one card and I've designed another similar one for the gents (minus the doll, of course) - REAL men don't play with dolls!

Our second class for the month of June is a technique driven class.  Quite a few of you have requested that we re-visit using embossing paste and stencils.  We'll be using different pastes, types of stencils (brass and plastic) and incorporating inks into the projects.  The following are just two examples of what we'll be covering.

Flip-Flop Booklet

Well here we are in the merry month of May with glorious weather.  It just doesn't get any better than this!  For my next class we will be creating two adorable Flip-Flop Booklets - one girly and one for the guys (graduation is coming as is Father's Day).

These are adorable and you can see the size by the tweezers I placed in front of the girly booklet.  Cute!

The above is created using different quotes, but you can substitute anything - even gift cards!

Cards that move

Everyone loves cards that move or open differently and I will have two fun and clever ones for you in this class.

Since Father's Day will be coming up sooner than we think, why not get a jump on getting that special card done?  It doesn't have to be for Father's Day, but for a birthday (as the sample) and is a great masculine card.  This style can be changed up to reflect any occasion making it feminine as well (basket of flowers for the bicycle?).  Creating this style card alone will give you hours of pleasure and pique your imagination.

Then we have the flip card done a little differently.  Again, for any occasion.

I look forward to "playing" with you once again.  I will try to have Chef Charles on hand to do his magic.  Hey, if he can get someone who HATES carrot cake to actually say, "this is really good!", then you just have to try some of his confections.

Hello everyone and Happy Spring!  Lordy I never thought it would get here.  We still have snow in some places believe it or not despite the 60 degree weather.  Go figure.

Well I thought I'd post your next class project here.  This is such a fun and easy project to create and I think it can be used in many different ways.  One suggestion is a gift for Mother's Day or Father's Day with a "promise-to-do" in each pocket.  It could be a spectacular gift card holder for several or all gift cards.  The list goes on and I'm sure you will think of something different.

So here are a few pics of the project we will be doing.  This first one is taken with a pair of tweezers with it to give you an idea of the size.  Cute?

This is a fun and easy class to do and if time permits, we will do another one just like it using different papers.  No promises as everyone works at a different pace.
