Playing with Pan Pastels

NEW DATE! NEW DATE!

Date:  Monday, February 15th
Time:  1pm to 3pm
Cost:  $15

Have you wondered what Pan Pastels are?  Those little pots of lusciousness are so fun and easy to work with and I will be happy to show you how.  Let's start with a picture of this medium:

Pan Pastels are a creamy, dense, shimmery chalk that is applied with a variety of different high- density shaped sponges.  They leave a creamy, dreamy finish to your art projects and come in tons of colors from the pastels to the metallics.  We will be using both the pastels and the metallics in this class.

The ladies who were at our last class were in love with the look that this medium supplies, so let me show you what's coming up this Sunday:

Using a combination of stamps and Pan Pastels, our first card is done in a pale green pastel that has a dreamy, shimmery quality to it.

Card number two combines a luscious shimmery lavender (or your choice of color) for this fantastic 3-D die cut birthday card.

And our last card is done using a combination of many metallics together and sneaking in an embossing folder for more impact.  This will make a great masculine card - and we all know what a challenge masculine cards are!

I wish the camera picked up the wonderful shimmer that Pan Pastels offers, but I guess you'll just have to come to class to play with this medium and create 3 stunning cards.  Just click on the Paypal button below to reserve your spot.

Waterfall Cards

DATE:  Sunday, January 17th from 1pm to 3pm (or thereabouts)
PRICE:  $15

Happy New Year to all!  So far so good with the white stuff -- not enough to sneeze at (yet!).  I hope your holidays were happy and healthy and that Santa was good to you.  He sure took good care of me!

I am so late in posting this because my Muse deserted me several weeks ago and has finally decided to make a come-back!  It's scary when you sit in your art room with ALL those wonderful toys to play with and the mind is a B-L-A-N-K!

I thought we'd start the year off with an oldie but goodie -- Waterfall cards!  These are so much fun to make and can be created in whatever size you want.  I have made two for your viewing pleasure and if my Muse stays with me, there could be a possible third to add to the fun.  So, without further ado, here are the cards we'll be doing.

This is a Valentines card (closed) using the landscape view:

Here's the card partially opened (water falling):

And the inside view:

As you can see, I kept this very basic and simple.

Our next card is a little different.  This is portrait style and can be used either for a birthday or for Valentine's Day (you can choose):

And partially opened - you can see the sentiment starting to peek out below the ice cream cone.

So, won't you join me on a lazy Sunday afternoon to create these fun cards!  Tap the Paypal button below or simply email me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

I am sooooo looking forward to seeing your wonderful faces -- it's been a while.
