Hello there!  I'm baaaack!  It feels like forever since I started planning for our Tennessee show and trip.  It was incredibly successful, fun and relaxing.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Having said that, let's get on to classes here at the house.  Yes, I did find time to actually plan a class before I left.  We'll be having some fun using one die to create 4 different looks.  I think you'll enjoy these cards -- we'll be using an old favorite medium on one of them -- Flower Soft!  Yes, you remember Flower Soft, don't you?  It's such a great medium for accenting your cards.

Pop Open Boxes

DATE:  Sunday, October 4th from 1pm to 3pm

Everyone who knows me, knows how much I love creating and/or replicating boxes of all sorts.  I've been doing some folding research and have come up with a lot of new box shapes this year.  So I hope to pass these fun gift giving items on to you.

Coming up on Sunday, October 4th, we will be creating these two adorable pop-open boxes.  They are called that because when you squeeze them on both seams, they will pop open and then pop back to the closed position.  Cute?  You bet!

What you don't see here is a miniature size box that we will create as well.  That means we'll be making three boxes in this class.  I'll add more embellishments for the striped one above or possibly even change out the Christmas paper for something different.  Regardless, we will have fun!

Coffee, Tea or Me? (note new date)

Well, you get it all -- coffee, tea AND me!  I have to come with the whole package so I can teach you how to construct these fun coffee/tea cups.  I've created four, but we will be doing the two that you see below.

I've created a masculine cup as well as one that can work for either gender.  You can use these to put a packet of hot chocolate with a marshmallow and perhaps a little mint, or you can put a bottle of nail polish or two. Well, you get it -- whatever you need to use them for.  And they are surprisingly simple to make -- would I kid you?

Angled Gift Card Holders

You just know how I love unusual cards.  This is no exception and is very easy to create.  Since there's always a guy in your life to give a gift card to, I've included "him" in this class.

Playing with tissue paper

I must apologize for the late posting for this class.  I was so buried in prepping for my Cincinnati trip with Craft-Dee BowZ that things got behind (that's putting it mildly).

Anyway, our next class is this Friday, August 14th, from 7 to 9-ish.  I say 9-ish because everyone likes to kick back after class and nosh on some homemade goodies and chat.  If you haven't attended one of my at-home classes, send me an email or click the button below and join us.  We have a great time!

We'll be creating three cards using tissue paper and each card will have a little twist to the same technique.  I know you are going to enjoy this class -- it's so easy peasy!

Color Burst Gift Card Set

Have you heard of Color Burst?  In a nutshell, Color Burst is  a highly concentrated, pigmented powder that you can spray on, spritz on, paint on, etc. I will show you a more elegant way to use this incredible product.

In this class you will  create some incredibly simple cards using the same stamping image, but changing the color combinations for each card using inks and Color Burst.  We will create 4 identical cards as well as an adorable pocket gift card carrier so that you can give this as a gift.  This gift carrier is just a sample of what it looks like -- you will be creating your own designer front for this project again using Color Burst -- wait till you see!

Here are the cards you will be creating and below is the pocket gift card carrier.

The look of the gift card carrier will change with patterned paper choices.  I will have different colors available for you to choose from to create this same effect.  This packet holds your four cards plus envelopes and is capable of holding up to 8 cards.

Double Flap stand-up cards

Love unusually shaped or folded cards?  We've been doing a series of sorts lately and since you ladies seem to really enjoy them, I thought I'd continue in that vein.

So here we have two versions of a Double Flap Stand-Up card; one is portrait style and the other landscape.  I've provided a side view for full appreciation.  I will provide you with written instructions for this class as well.  Both cards fold flat and are A2 size cards for easy mailing.

People love receiving funky shaped cards and they know how much effort you have put into creating these masterpieces.  Psst!  Don't tell them how EASY these cards are to create -- keep them in awe!

Step cards

Class Date:  Friday July 10th from 7-9pm
Price:  $18  (please note price of this class)

Step cards are so much fun to create and in this class you will receive full written instructions on how to make your own instead of going out and buying pre-made cards.  This way, you can make your card in whatever color palette you choose.

We will be creating three different step cards:  Center Step, Side Step and Reverse Center Step.  Here they are in that order.

This card has a large center panel on which to build your accessories.

This is the side step card.  You can place your steps to the right or to the left using the same formula.  (I don't think this little birdie is going to have a 'tweet birthday', but all those kitties are!

This is the reverse center step card with a cute and playful little whale.

This class is up there with the Stair Step card we did.  The ladies who attended that class are still talking about it and have created that card quite a few times since.  So don't miss out on the know-how and sign up for this fun and fabulous class!

Tri-fold cards

Hello crafters!  I have another special treat for you on this Friday evening class.  We will be creating a trifold card using a Penny Black Doll for one card and I've designed another similar one for the gents (minus the doll, of course) - REAL men don't play with dolls!

Our second class for the month of June is a technique driven class.  Quite a few of you have requested that we re-visit using embossing paste and stencils.  We'll be using different pastes, types of stencils (brass and plastic) and incorporating inks into the projects.  The following are just two examples of what we'll be covering.

Flip-Flop Booklet

Well here we are in the merry month of May with glorious weather.  It just doesn't get any better than this!  For my next class we will be creating two adorable Flip-Flop Booklets - one girly and one for the guys (graduation is coming as is Father's Day).

These are adorable and you can see the size by the tweezers I placed in front of the girly booklet.  Cute!

The above is created using different quotes, but you can substitute anything - even gift cards!
